EA Worldwide Supports Cutting Business Taxes and Providing Entrepreneurship Education
EA Worldwide Managing Director Josh Cote appeals to successful business owners to encourage more education in entrepreneurship and for Britain to cut business taxes in 2011 to assist with the UK’s recovery from the recession. Josh Cote believes offering education programs that develop individuals’ skills will help create more opportunity for work so future economic hardships will not cripple the nation. EA Worldwide are among many of Britain’s businesses to support the campaign to cut business taxes to help with the economic recovery.
UK business lobbying organisation (CBI) has quoted data collected by the World Economic Forum which suggests the UK is ranked 89th in the world for its regulatory burden on business. As the world starts to emerge from the recession the UK need to appeal to foreign investors to drive the recovery but with businesses taxes at an all time high international firms consider alternative markets. The CBI state foreign investment in the UK in 2007 was $186.4bn but plummeted to $45.7bn by 2009 and business taxes have been blamed.
Lack of opportunity, jobs and growth has also hindered foreign investor’s decisions. To counterbalance as a nation the UK has increased awareness of entrepreneurship and has launched many schemes to assist new small businesses develop but the government are not budging on further cuts to corporation tax. ‘’Being ranked so low as a nation on the World Economic Forum, it’s not surprising Britain is struggling to gain international talent and investment.
The Chancellor’s recent decision to cut business taxes is great but if we could see it pushed a little lower I think we could start to attract the investment so desperately needed to the UK’s recovery’’ Says Josh Cote, EA Worldwide Managing Director. EA Worldwide, a London based outsourced marketing and sales company have assisted with small business development in the UK and managing director Josh Cote has been an advocate for promoting further education on entrepreneurship.
‘’There is a lot of talent in Britain and so much room for business ideas and skills to be developed, I strongly believe that if more education on entrepreneurship can be provided we will see an increase in job opportunities which will assist with the current unemployment rates that are obstructing the economy from recovering at the speed we need it to’’ continues Josh Cote of EA Worldwide. The UK has much competition from many other struggling countries around the world for investment so big changes must be made to attract foreign investment on the scale Britain needs.
EA Worldwide are supporting the CBI’s push for lower business taxes and are encouraging other successful businesses to take part in schemes such as Start Up Britain. EA Worldwide plan to assist with the development of 8 new businesses throughout 2011.
