Starting a business in Britain is easier than ever before, business owner and entrepreneur Josh Cote agrees Britain could be one of the best places in the world for start-ups in 2012.
Small businesses are vital to the UK economy. The Coalition Government is committed to creating the right long term environment to help many more people start and grow their enterprise. Josh Cote and advocate of entrepreneurship agree the changes announced by the British Government in recent years to amend every annual budge to help develop the growing ecosystem are fantastic ‘Britain’s commitment to assisting new start-ups grow and prosper is a great step in encouraging people to move into self-employment or entrepreneurship. Their introduction of a package of reform to reduce rates of corporation tax including cutting the small profits rate from 21 per cent to 20 per cent from last year was extremely appealing to many that have considered starting a business’ says Josh Cote, business owners and entrepreneur.
The government have further plans to award 25% of government contracts to small and medium sized enterprises. Josh Cote provides coaching to many budding entrepreneurs or self-employed individuals throughout Britain and supports many of the policies introduced to assist new start-up businesses. Josh Cote outlines the benefits are extended outside of Britain also. In 2011, a new category of visa was created to allow anyone worldwide with a £50,000 of UK-based investment to enter the UK and establish a company.
Mark Prisk MP, Minister of State for Business and Enterprise states in a Business Link archive ‘We believe that business growth is the main priority. So we will focus our resources on improving small business performance and growth. We will support star ups through a tailored package of measures including the New Enterprise Allowance, to help the unemployed become self-employed’.
